Hair Dilema

(So Picture A Was bright red and Picture B is what it is now)

Just needed to make a quick post as i need a bit of help! I'm so stuck on my hair as in what colour to have it. I LOVED it being semi perminant bright red like the top picture, but that goes everywhere and staines everything and its just a lot of effort to keep up with, which i'm willing to do.. but just recently i decided to use permenant hair dye as it would be less effort. Now my hair is ruined! I actually like th way it looks in picture B but in real life it doesnt look like that, for some reason my camera, both in my videos and in pictures makes it look a million times more red. In person though it is a really dark colour with red and organge tones to it. And some people may love it. Its completely not me though! So shall i risk ruining my hair and strip the colour then put semi-permenant back on, or shall i leave it as it is for now and hopefully when it fades it will be nice?

I hate that i get bored of my hair so easily!

Hope your all well,

Lauraxo

Battle of the beauty boxes!

(Warning this will be quite picture heavy)

(Ignore the smudge on the black box.. gave it a quick clean)

So i'm sure most of you have heard of at least one of these boxes, but just incase you haven't, the concept is basically you pay a monthly subscription fee and then you get sent a box a month containing 5-6 (depending which box you order) luxury samples a month.
Now this is a great idea as it gives women the opportunity to try out products they may never heard of before, most of the time they are higher end products, before they actually go out and buy. This means less money is wasted (in theory).
I thought these would be a great idea to order as i am a beauty junkie. I dont intend on staying subscribed to all 3 but i thought it would help you all out if i ordered all three and then did a comparison so you can decide which box best suits you.

The Prices:
Now there isn't really much in it but they are all (or will be soon) different prices so this may affect your decision.
Feel Unique Beauty Box (FUBB) is the cheapest at: £9.95
Then we have Boudoir Prive at: £10.00
And although at the moment Glossy Box is £10.00 it will be increasing in september to: £12.95

The Content:

Feel Unique Beauty Box

So The FUBB is by far my favourite box, to start with its actually like a draw so if i was to collect these i could stack them and store makeup or jewellery or something in them which is great. I also love the hot pink and black together, its different to the other two boxes and its just a little bit more fun. So what did i get inside...

-
Item 1: Thalgo Frigimince Spray
"Bare those legs with confidence with this instant 'cooling' effect spray, designed to improve appearance of cellulite, reduce fluid retention and relieve tired and heavy legs. Use on ankles, knees, hips and bum, spraying 15cm away from the area. Perfect for your handbag for instant revival!"

So this is what it is described as on the card i got with the box. I tried this on my legs once. It really does have an instant cooling effect, i wouldnt say it reduces appearence of cellulite but it definately feels nice on a hot day! I shall be saving this for my next holiday.

Full size price: £27.00 for 150ml.
Sample size price: £9.00 for 50ml

Item 2: Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer
"Afavourite amongst beauty editors, this is the ultimate thrist-quencher for your hair. Use once a week before shampooing, leaving in for about 2 to 3 mins before rinsing thoroughly. It smoothes, stretches and strengthens locks, leaving it shiny, manageable, less brittl and full of bounce."

So i did actually give this a try and i used it as an intensive contioner like the back of the sample says to and left it on for 20mins. I really think this is something i am going to invest in as, after dying my hair twice in 2 days, my hair was feeling like death and it had no shine to it, but after using this i straightened it and my hair was mega shiny and it just looked a million times healthier!

Full size price: £20.99 for 150ml
Sample size price: £2.80 for 20ml

Item 3: Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Flawless Definition Volumizing Mascara
"Lashes will love this smudge-proof, plumping mascara that transforms your flutter in an instant, bringing them incredible volume, perfect definition and full, dramatic thickness. It's exclusive nutriplump mineral formula plumps lashes up to 600%!"

So that's  a crazy statement there. I havent tried this yet, infact i've never tried anything from Bare Escentuals so thats exciting. The brush doesn't look like anything special, but once i've tried it i will do a review on here to see if it really does plump up to 600%!

Full size price: £12.75 for 10ml
Sample size price: £6.37 for 5ml

Item 4: Xen Tan Transform Luxe
"This wonderfully scented gradual tanner for the face and body brings you a daily dose of moisture whilst leaving a deliciously silky, smooth olive glow. Apply like an everyday moisturiser for strak-free, sun-kissed skin."

So i haven't really been big into self tanning this summer just because i can't find one i'm in love with that also doesn't stink my whole house out (hello st moritz) But i will definately give this one a go as its a daily moisturiser. Obviously there isn't enough to do all my body everyday, but i'm going to use it on my face as it't in light/med so it shouldn't be crazy dark, hopefully i'll just get a nice glow. I shall keep you posted!

Full size price: £18.95 for 236ml
Sample size Price: £2.40 for 30ml

Item 5: Decleor Foaming Cleanser
"A gentle cleanser for all skin types; use morning and evening, lathering up a small amount into the skin with ater. It's creamy texture removes all impurities whilst brightening the complexion, leaving it soft, supple and beautifully restored."

I was really excited when i saw i had a cleanser in my box actually (sad i know) but i love trying out new skin care brands as i'm always trying to achieve the 'flawless' skin. I had heard of decleor before but never really looked into them. I'm a little worried this is going to be too moisturising for my sking, but it will still be fun to try!

Full size price: £20.40 for 200ml
Sample size price: £1.53 for 15ml

So those were my luxury samples from the Feel Unique Beauty Box.
The total price of the box is: £22.10
So thats actually 2 and a bit boxes which is good!

Box 2 is the Glossy box

The Glossy box ha a light pink and black theme going on which i really love, i also love that the boxes are sturdy so you can keep them afterwards and fill with whatever goodies you feel neccesary.

Item 1: Weleda (Pomegranate Regenerating Body Oil)
"Weleda is the original 'green' pioneer, celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. This 100% natural range oozes authenticity and a true commitment to all things sustainable, with ingredients that are either organically home grown or sourced ethically without damage to the environment or local communities. Weleda products are free from artificial additives, synthetic fragrances, petrochemicals, GM ingredients, or animal testing. The minimal packaging is recyclable."

So i really didn't think this would be something for me when i first recieved it because the packaging to me isn't very appealing and i didn't think it would work very well. Let me tell you, on my dry legs, or after shaving it works SO well and is crazy moisturising. This will last me forever as well!

Full size price: £19.95 for 100ml (this is full size yay)

Item 2: Xen-Tan (Deep Bronze Luxe)
"This ultra-sheer instant colour formula gives you a gorgeous olive glow that'll last for up to seven days. Easy to apply, it glides on evenly and completely streak-free. With additional Vitamin E, Green Tea and anti-oxidants, this deep, natural colour also soothes, smoothes and nourishes the skin and the pleasant vanilla fragrance leaves you feeling wrapped in luxury."

Now i tried this out on my legs, after moisturising and exfoiliating as i always would and i really didn't like it. I felt it made my legs really patchy and just didn't give me a nice colour. I know it works really well for some people, but clearly it didn't work for me. The initial smell though was amazing, there is still a fake tan smell after it has developed but its not crazy bad. It was fun to be able to try this out so now i dont waste my money!

Full size price: £28.99 for 236ml
Sample size price: £3.67 for 30ml

Item 3: Etat Libre d'Orange (ARCHIVES 69 Eau de Parfum)
"69 rue des Archives is the address of Etat Libre d'Orange and Archives 69 is the essence of Etat Libre d'Orange. This is a perfume designed to free the senses, to open the heart to all possibilities. It is an invitation to pleasure, an ode to seduction. It comes without restrictions, rules or regulations. It is yours to do with as you wish. This is the scent of sensual liberation..."
&
Etat Libre d'Orange (LIKE THIS Eau de Parfum)
"LIKE THIS, the fragrance inspired by actress Tilda Swinton and created by perfumer Mathilde Bijaoui for ETAT LIBRE D'ORANGE has been awarded the Specialists' Prize by the Fragrance Foundation France. "I have never been a one for scents in bottles. The great Sufi poet Rumi wrote: If anyone wants to know what «spirit» is, or what «God's fragrance» means, lean your head toward him or her. Keep your face there close. Like this." Tilda Swinton"

Not much to say about either of these perfumes, i dont like the scents, but thats my personal opinion. That is all.

Full size price: Both £74 for 50ml
Sample size price: £2.22 for 1.5ml

Item 4: Ciate Nail Enamel In Beach Melba
"Pots and pots of colour!!!! Ciate introduce their long lasting full coverage nail enamel colours. The 250 bristle flat brush makes flawless painting much easier and quicker and the cap is deliberately long for ease of use. The Ciaté bottle is ergonomically designed to enable maximum control with a curved bottle to sit comfortably in your hand. Their signature bows make the products instantly recognizable and ultimately feminine. All paint points are the Big 3 Free: formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate and toluene free, so give your Ciate colour a little shake when you receive it!"

This was a very exciting product to recieve as not long ago i was debating wether to buy one with a magazine but i didn't know if they were any good. Oh my, this is such a nice colour. It's great because with one coat its a nice gloss to make your nails look nice a clean, or to use with a french manicure, but with about 4 coats you have yourself a really pretty and opaque nude colour! Definately reccomend these.

Full size price: £9 for 13.5ml (this was full size yay!)

Item 5: Illamasqua Pure Pigment In Conquer
"These versatile performers were made to be played with, giving a high-shine metallic finish of pure colour. Although they love going it alone, bringing dazzling highlights to eyes, cheeks and brows, Illamasqua Pure Pigments look amazing when combined with contrasting or co-ordinating eye shadows. Mix with Illamasqua Sealing Gel and apply with a sharp angled brush for a water-resistant shimmering eye liner."

I am no longer an illamasqua virgin! I was literally jumping around with excitement when i realised i had recieved this because for one i have never had anything from illamasqua before and 2 i am a massive lover of dark greens for when i'm going out so killed 2 birds with one stone there. This is incredibly pigmented and amazing! I am so glad i have this baby in my life.

Full size price: £15.50 for 1.3g (again this is full size yaay)

So thats it for my glossy box, i was so impressed with it this month compared to the first month!
The total cost: £52.56 Wow your really getting an amazing deal with this one even if it was £12.95.

Boudoir Prive box

Boudoir Prive did annoy me a little bit initially because their packaging is so similar to glossy box but i mean its whats inside that counts and actually after looking more into each product i'm pretty impressed. I wont be able to tell you the cost of the sample sizes though as hardly any of them have sizes on which is a little bit crapola.

Item 1: Sachajuan Hair repair
"Thanks to swedish brand sachajuan's ocean silk technology, this product will boost your hair's health. Lifeless, frizz-prone  hair will love this hair repair!"

As i just recieved these products i haven't tried any of these out but this is probably my favourite product, or the one i'm most excited about so far as i really love trying to get my hair into really good condition. It really needs it after all the hair dying i do.

Price: £11.00 for 100ml (this size)

Item 2: Olavie Antioxidant Body Butter
"Pamper yourself with this rich body butter by wine therapy specialists Olavie. Your skin will feel smooth, hydrated and refreshed."

This to me isn't too exciting, infact i may give this to my mum as she will probably appreciate it more than me! But it does have a nice smell and it is a very expensive body butter full size. I'm more of a body shop pink grapefruit girl though!

Price: £43.55 for 240ml

Item 3: Jane Iredale PureLash Extender And Conditioner
"Mineral cosmetics wonder Jane Iredale will blow you away with this innovative product, which encourages the growth of eyelashes and facilitates the application of mascara"

This seems like a very nice little product, i wish the sample was a little bigger though so i could test it for longer. It's basically like a conditioning primer for the lashes and i really like lash primers so i have high hopes for this and there will be a review on here!

Price: £13.00 for 89ml

Item 4: Babor HSR Lifting Extra Firming Cream
"Soften your skin and prevent wrinkles with this cream by German skincare brand Babor. Active ingredients efficiency and luxury, all packed into one product."

So i dont think i really need something thats going to prevent wrinkles just yet but i will use this purely for the fact that it is so expensive, it might do wonders for my skin you never know!

Price: £82.00 for 50ml

Item 5: Bloom Green Tea & White Tea Duo
"Keep your concentration levels high and your stress levels low throughout the day with these two delicious teas from Bloom's Tea Treatment collection."

So obviously i haven't drank these yet as i was saving them for this post, but i am a big tea drinker so i love to try loads of different types. I love that these are all natural and if i like the taste i will definately be buying these!

Price: £4.00 for a pack of 10

Item 6: ETAT LIBRE d'ORANGE
"69 rue des Archives is the address of Etat Libre d'Orange and Archives 69 is the essence of Etat Libre d'Orange. This is a perfume designed to free the senses, to open the heart to all possibilities. It is an invitation to pleasure, an ode to seduction. It comes without restrictions, rules or regulations. It is yours to do with as you wish. This is the scent of sensual liberation..."

I just stole what Glossy Box had to say about the perfume as they are the same, again i dont like the scents but thats just personal opinion i'm sure some people love the scents!

Price: £74.00 for 50ml

So thats its for all three boxes, i can't give you a price for the Boudoir Prive exactly because they dont have sizes on the samples, but i believe you probably save the most money with the Glossy Box! Which ones your favourite? Shall i do another one of these? I hope that was somewhat helpful!

Hope your all well,

Nails Of Zee Day

Again i am aware i paint my nails like a 2 year old!

So i can't remember which magazine this came in.. (someone please remind me) But after recieving a ciate nail polish in my glossy box and being very impressed i jumped at the chance to get another one for free!
I'm really into my dark winter colours already.. i want it to snow so bad! (weird i know) I dont even like winter usually.. thats a lie, i like the colours in winter and the snuggles and cristmas time and that i can eat loads and not worry about being podgy!

But anyway back to the nail varnish.. it's in the colour 'wait untill dark' and its a really nice deep purple with with a slight gold shimmer running through it, you dont get a lot of the gold on the nails though. It took two coats to get the colour in the picture which isnt bad either. Now to see if this chips easily! I remmeber the other one lasted a nice amount of time!

I also love the bottles of ciate, i dont actually know how much they retail for, but the bottle makes it look more expensive! The bow is a really cute touch and i would totally put these out on display! I like that you also get a long handle as this helps with control as i am crapola and painting my nails! The brush is nice also. That is all.

Hope your all well,

Lauraxo

It's the end of week 2

(best picture to describe my week)

001: So this week i met up with a college friend, the boy i filmed my vlog with, if you've watched that! We had good fun actually and he is definately my favourite shopping buddy, i think he's actually better at shopping than i am! I wil have a haul up of this soon, i will also post pictures on my blog of the clothes i brought!

002: I've been working everyday for the past forever just to save some money, so every spare minute i get has been writing my blog or making videos, which i loove.. i'm gonna miss being able to do it so much when uni starts.. ohh well!

003: I officially got accepted into uni actually which is so exciting! i shall be doing journalism come september, are any of you starting uni at all? What are you taking?

004: I went and saw the planet of the apes film with the boyfriend, we practially live at the cinema.. it thought it was amazing actually .. the cgi was so good! and the story nearly had me in tears a few times (i'm only really a cry'er when in comes to animals) i thought the build up and the background story was so good. I rememer watching the planet of the apes on tape when i was youger, a LOT younger.. probably about 8 and not really enjoying them. Probably mostly because i couldn't understand them but oh my you must go and watch it!

005: I had a hair dye fail which i am going to do a blog post about soon.. i basically put permanent hair dy over my bright red and now it looks crap.. the last video i did makes it look a million times nicer than it is.. Ohh well i shall give it two weeks of intensive therapy conditioning and then re dye it!

Hows your week been?

Hope your all well,

Sleek 'Oh So Special' Palette

So today i went to the shops to buy contest prizes and had to pick this up for myself! why haven't i seen this before?! This is definately going to be my favourite palette from sleek so far.

So for those of you who have never seen a sleek palette (although you probably all have!) You get 12 shadows and they are all mineral. Something i love about this palette compared to most others is that a lot of the colours are matte. There are also a lot of pinky and peachy tones in this, which again i love and this makes it a more versitile palette as you could get away with wearing some of these on your cheeks which is great, especially for travelling!
The names of the colours are adorable too, i know you can't see them all but some of the names include, organza, wrapped up and gift basket. I love the idea that sleek has named all of the colours, although the fact that the names are on a plastic sheet, which i will probably loose, isn't so great!

(Just a few of the colours)

I definately reccomend this palette! well everyone should have at least one sleek palette i think. Would you like tutorials using this palette??
Hope your all well,

First Love, Last Love

Top: Primark
Shorts: New Look
Bag: Primark
(Also wore heels)

So i went to go see the maccabees last night (If you dont know who they are, youtube them!!), they were amazing. I went to go see them as a small venue too which made it a million times more exciting.
Anyway back to the outfit. I think this was a good choice as we went out at 4pm so i wanted something that wasnt too dressy but was also nice and a bit different.
I love that i look like oliver twist or something!
Do you like these quick outfit posts?

Hope your all well,

(E.L.F Nail polish in 'Dark Navy' and matte finish top coat)

So Today i recieved my E.L.F haul (video link will be at the end!) and i'm always pleasantly suprised by pretty much everything i order, ELF is a great company because they dont test on animals, and they dont charge you ridiculous prices for things that really dont cost much to make! And for the most part there packaging is great.
On to the nail varnishes, i actually manages to pick these babies up 50% off so they were 75p (steal i know!) And i couldn't wait to try them out as soon as they arrived. This is the results..

(Pre matte top coat - bad quality sorry!)

(After the top coat was used)

Now I am aware that i paint my fingernails like an 8 year old and the first picture isnt great quality, but the second picture really shows off how amazing this top coat is. A dark navy wasn't the best colour to demonstrate this with but i will do another post with a different colour next time!
The navy was a shimmery colour and, althought you can't really appriciate that through my awful photo taking skills, there is definately no more shimmer left! I am really pleased with the results and for 75p you cant go wrong! Definately reccomend this to anyone! Click here to go check out there website

Hope your all well,

I confess..

(Cringey photo, although Raspberry nail paint, yessss)

So i love hearing about things people do (or dont do) that make them imperfect, because lets face it no ones perfect and i think it makes people more relatable. Anywho here are my confessions:

001: I dont always take my makeup off: Yess lets face it we've all been known to come home from a drunken night and just colapse on the bed, waking up still fully clothed (mm sexy) I am just known to leave my makeup on more than the average joe.

002: I use wet wipes far to much: I know these aren't good at getting rid of all your makeup, or much of it at all.. and there 'not good for your skin' but hey you only live once.

003: I pick my nail varnish off: Although i have a good reason for this, when cotton buds (ewww) make you cringe as much as they make me, then you would be doing the same!

004: I 'recycle' my makeup: Okay so now your really grossed out right. Ha theres nothing wrong with going to work with the same mascara on as the night before.. right?

005: I never wash my hair: And i'm proud that i dont! It's good for your hair and anyway who said a bit of chip fat slap head hair isn't sexy anymore!

006: I love picking mascara off my eyelashes: Yes you heard that right, i'm probably pulling out half my eyelashes at the same time.. But i find it somwhat tranquil!

Anyways that is all for my confessions, I hope I didn't scare you off tooo much!

Hope your all well,

Lauraxo

It's The End Of The Week.

(Ohh i want it to be summer forever so i can wear this hat)

001: So this week i have really missed my blog and want to make a million posts, but that would probably overload you with rubbish so i wont ha! Apart from that i have once again been mega busy with work which sucks, but i am once again dedicating all my spare time to making videos and doing blog posts!

002: Question, do you like it when all my videos have blog posts to go with them? Because i can definately do that! I'm going to try and blog everyday from today (eeek cant believe i just said that!) So if i'm not making a video something will be on here at least.

003: I'm off to see the maccabees tonight, SOOO EXCITED! Does anyone else like the maccabees? I will try and take some photos to add to my blog when i'm home tommorow.

004: Last night i realised how amazing some people are. People who i have never met (yet) who are always willing to cheer me up, who i think are just nice people inside and out, it makes me love that i make youtube videos! I would never know any of them otherwise.

005: So this is kind of a boring catch up. Had a mega boring week, Actually thats a lie, this week i spend most my time drinking and sat in a hot tub (when i wasn't working of course) which was nice as we had pretty nice weather for a few days! Well that is all, Look forward to another ramble next week.

Hope your all well,

Lauraxo
